Description

1. Conventional materials: mainly low carbon steel (carbon content ≤ 0.25%, such as Q235, 10 #, 20 #, good plasticity, easy to draw), a small amount of medium-high carbon steel (0.25%-1.20%, such as 65 #, 70 #, high strength), containing silicon, manganese and other impurities.

2. Standard: GB/T 3428 (cold-drawn round steel wire), GB/T 4357 (carbon spring steel wire), GB/T 1178 (steel wire for tyres); international standard ISO 8458, Japanese standard JIS G3502, etc.

3. Size: Diameter 0.1mm-16mm, mostly disc-shaped (disc weight 10-50kg), some straight (length 1-5m).

4. Processing: drawing (cold drawing and forming, multi-pass reduction), heat treatment (annealing and softening, quenching and tempering to strengthen), surface treatment (pickling and descaling, phosphating and lubrication, galvanising/copper-plating to prevent rust).

5. Applicable industries: hardware (nail making, wire mesh), springs (all kinds of carbon springs), tyres (tyre skeleton steel wire), construction (tying steel wire), machinery (raw materials for steel wire ropes, fasteners) and so on.
